1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Aly Haji ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the Ice Time iOS application ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. The Service
Ice Time is a personal hockey stats tracker. It lets you log your skates, view seasonal summaries and stat visualizations, search for rinks near you, and connect with friends to see each other's recent stats. We may add, change, or remove features of the App at any time.
3. Your Account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. If you use email and password sign-in, choose a strong password and keep it confidential.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Ice Time.
- Notify us at icetimestatsapp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- Upload content that is abusive, harassing, or infringes anyone else's rights (including in your profile picture or name);
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, including by scraping, reverse engineering, or introducing malicious code.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you add to Ice Time — your skate logs, stats, notes, profile details, and profile picture ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the App, including showing your stats to friends you connect with.
If you suggest a rink through the App, you grant us the right to review, use, and display that suggestion to other users as part of the App's rink data.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to anything you upload.
6. Our Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the Ice Time name, logo, or other branding without our prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services to operate, including Apple (for Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, and on-device services such as Maps and speech recognition) and Supabase (for authentication and data storage). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from the Account page in the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to us, the App, or other users. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11) will survive.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost — please keep your own records of anything important.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the App will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
